Prakash Raaj shouldn't support people selectively: BJP

Bangalore (Karnataka) [India], October 3 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday hit back at actor Prakash Raaj for selectively supporting the people over the death of journalists and for not targetting the state government over the issue.

BJP leader S. Prakash accused the actor of being a convert to pseudo-liberalism and said, "He did not say a word against the state government. Even after one month there is no clue about the assailants. Kalburgi was murdered two years ago and the murderer is still at large. Prakash Raaj overlooks all this."

He also said that Raaj accused the Prime Minister just in order to gain cheap publicity.

BJP leader Gaurav Bhartia, seeing the incident in the same light, said, "For them the issues of rights, and personal liberty depend on the person they want to protect. They did not come out when Kartik Ghosh was killed in West Bengal."

Earlier on Monday, Actor Prakash Raj threatened to return his five National Awards and condemned the silence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the murder of journalist Gauri Lankesh. (ANI)
