Nagpur (Maharashtra) [India], Dec 18 (ANI): Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday said that the Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat Assembly election results are a stern reply to those spreading rumours against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

"The election results are a stern reply to all those spreading rumours. Today, Himachal has come under the BJP's reign as the 19th state and the way the party has won in both (Gujarat) the states under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's guidance, shows that this is like a final verdict by the people of the nation," said Fadnavis here.

He added that the BJP's win is due to Prime Minister Modi's model of development.

"It is this belief on development that can take the nation forward," said Fadnavis.

At the time of reporting, the BJP has won 68 seats, while the Congress has won 59 in Gujarat.

In Himachal Pradesh, the BJP has won 16 seats, while the Congress has won eight.
