Patna (Bihar) [India], Dec 22 (ANI): Patna police on Sunday booked Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav amongst others for carrying out a protest against Citizenship Amendment Act during Bihar Bandh in the state capital's restricted area.
"There was a ruckus on the Dak Bungalow crossing in Patna during the Bihar Bandh called by RJD yesterday. A case has been filed against Tejashwi Yadav, Jagadanand Singh and others," police said.
Earlier on Saturday, Yadav participated in the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) rally in Patna against the Citizenship Amendment Act 2019 and led a crowd of protesters gathered to raise their voice against the new law.
The mega rally was the part of "Bihar Bandh" call given by the RJD against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act 2019. Following the bandh, protesters broke barricades and created a roadblock on the road during a demonstration here.
