PM's reforms have interested global investors: Jitendra Singh

Davos [Switzerland], Jan 22 (ANI): Union Minister of State (MoS) in the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) Dr. Jitendra Singh on Monday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi's revolutionary reforms have generated tremendous interest from the global investor community.

"The manner in which he (Prime Minister Narendra Modi) has put economic reforms on the fast-track, some of them are absolutely revolutionary, some of them unorthodox. Some of them initially also faced certain amount of skepticism and apprehension and yet went ahead with it, I think it has generated a tremendous amount of hope in the entire community of world nations," Singh told ANI in Davos.

Singh said Prime Minister Modi is inspiring a business instinct in not just Indians but also among people across the world.

"The manner in which Prime Minister Modi is inspiring a business instinct and an instinct to move forward in people and in representatives coming from all parts of the globe, this too bodes well. This is the beginning of the new India formation that Prime Minister Modi talks about," Singh added.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to host dinner for global industry bosses from 18 countries in Davos this evening.

He will address the plenary session of the economic forum on Tuesday.

He is the first Indian Prime Minister to attend the World Economic Forum in more than two decades, and is accompanied by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and Commerce Minister Suresh Prabhu among others.

"There is tremendous amount of enthusiasm, tremendous amount of hope, and tremendous amount of optimism with which Prime Minister Narendra Modi is being looked forward to. It is amazing and unprecedented," Singh said.(ANI)
