"PM vows 'unimaginable' punishment for Pahalgam attackers," says BJP MP Jagdambika Pal

New Delhi [India], April 30 (ANI): BJP MP Jagdambika Pal on Wednesday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assured stringent action against the terrorists behind the Pahalgam attack and their handlers, promising a punishment that will be "unimaginable."
Speaking to ANI, Pal emphasised the government's zero-tolerance policy on terrorism, stating, "Pakistan stands isolated today, while the entire world supports India."
"The Prime Minister has said that the terrorists involved in the Pahalgam attack and their masters will be given such a punishment which will be unimaginable... We have a zero tolerance policy on terrorism. Pakistan is isolated today; the whole world is with India...," he said.
Meanwhile, the Pakistani military, it seems, has started preparing for Indian military action.
Sources in the country's military establishment said on Wednesday that Pakistani Navy vessels, including its frigates and submarines, have already positioned themselves in their respective harbours in the sea to be able to tackle any possible Indian movement.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Air Force has reduced flying operations by over 50 per cent, and only essential operations are being conducted to avoid confusion in the airspace, sources said.
Earlier, faced with mounting global pressure, a jittery Pakistan leadership resorted to accusations against India following the deadly Pahalgam incident that killed 26 people.
The Federal Minister for Information & Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, had issued a statement claiming that Pakistan has "credible intelligence" suggesting India plans to launch military action against the nation within the next 24-36 hours.

In New Delhi, the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) meeting, convened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence, concluded this afternoon.
Along with the CCS meeting, two additional committee meetings -- the Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs (CCPA) and the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) -- were convened at the Prime Minister's residence. A cabinet briefing is scheduled for 3:00 PM today.
The attack, carried out by terrorists at Baisaran meadow in Pahalgam on Tuesday, is one of the deadliest in the Valley since the 2019 Pulwama strike in which 40 CRPF jawans were killed. The attack was one of the biggest terror attacks in the region after the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019. (ANI)
