PM to inaugurate new CIC premises

New Delhi [India], Mar 5 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the new Central Information Commission (CIC) building in New Delhi on Tuesday.

The Prime Minister will be inaugurating a brand new building of the CIC on the Tuesday, March 6, in Munirka, in New Delhi.

Earlier, the CIC was functioning from hired spaces from different locations in Delhi.

With the inauguration of this new building the whole of CIC will be able to function from one single location.

The new CIC building is a State-of-the-Art-Green building which has been constructed by the National Building Construction Corporation and has been completed ahead of time.

The five-storey building houses all the hearing rooms of the CIC within the premises.

It also has a state of the art IT and Video Conferencing system.

CIC is an apex appellate body established by the Right to Information Act 2005.(ANI)
