PM Modi was playing politics during 26/11 attacks: Congress

Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India] Nov 27 (ANI): Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala on Tuesday criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying, "When the valiant forces were combating terrorists during 26/11 attacks in Mumbai, the latter, who was then Gujarat chief minister was busy playing politics."
During a press conference, when asked whether it is correct of Punjab Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu to speak about a national security issue like Rafael deal in Pakistan, Surjewala said, "When 26/11 was happening and our valiant forces were combating terrorists, who killed thousands of innocents, where was the then Gujarat chief minister (Narendra Modi)?"
Targeting the Prime Minister for the rising terror activities in the country and killing of Indian soldiers on the borders, Surjewala stated, "Whether it was 26/11, Pathankot terror attack, or Nagrota terror attack, terrorists kept attacking our country. And those who used to claim about getting at least 10 heads from the other side for one head of our martyred soldier, it was under their noses that the sons of Haryana and Rajasthan were beheaded."
"What efforts were taken by Prime Minister Modi to deal with the issue of Naxalites and terrorism?" he further asked.
Navjot Singh Sidhu on Tuesday said that his hug to Pakistan Army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa during Pakistan visit in August this year was not a Rafale deal. "The hug with Pakistan Army Chief was of hardly a second. It was not a Rafale deal. When two Punjabis meet, they hug each other. Its normal practice in Punjab," Sidhu, who is in Pakistan to for attending the groundbreaking ceremony of Kartarpur Sahib Corridor said. (ANI)
