New Delhi [India], September 2 (ANI): Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday said that PM Modi has envisioned Viksit Bharat by 2047 and expressed confidence that it will be realised by the party organisation through endeavours of party members.
Speaking at the launch of party's 2024 membership drive 'Sanghatan Parva, Sadasyata Abhiyan 2024', Amit Shah said that BJP started its politics on the basis of ideology and continued its work even as it suffered defeats and also registered victory in elections.
"PM Modi has envisioned a Viksit Bharat by 2047. We aspire to celebrate India's century of independence by making her a leader in every field. BJP is the means to achieve this goal," he said.
He said BJP is not only the biggest political party but is also unique.
"BJP goes ahead with an ideology. We started our politics on the basis of our ideology. We struggled for years, we suffered several defeats, we also suffered massive defeats and we also witnessed victory. But we continued our work," he said.
"As JP Nadda told us, ours is the biggest party of the world but it is also a unique party. No other political party in India runs its Sadasyata Abhiyan democratically every six years. BJP is the only party political that has kept this tradition intact and taken it forward," he added.
Amit Shah recalled the work done by the BJP-led government in the past 10 years.
"In the last 10 years, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we provided Rs 5 lakh insurance to 60 crore people. Our country has achieved new feats in every sector be it rural development, urban development, energy sector, space sector, digitalisation, strengthening infrastructure, internal and external security, health sector, and education sector," the senior BJP leader said.
He also recalled construction of Ram Temple following the Supreme Court verdict, removal of Article 370 and law against triple talaq.
Amit Shah said BJP workers work as bridge between the government and organisation and also connect people with the government.
He said no booths will be excluded from the membership drive and people from every community, caste, religion, and age group will be included.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday launched the BJP's nationwide membership drive 2024 by renewing his membership. (ANI)
