Piyush Goyal hails Guru Nanak College's teaching principles

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], Sept. 19 (ANI): Union Minister of Railways and Coal, Piyush Goyal on Tuesday hailed Guru Nanak College's principles of teaching students to grow with qualities like cleanliness, service for society, equality and love for humanity.

The Union Minister attended the Guru Nanak College Silver Lecture Series in Mumbai.

While addressing the gathering, Piyush Goyal said, "This is my second home and I'm proud to come back with a delighted heart. It's nice to see young and new faces who are soon to grow with qualities like cleanliness, service for society, equality and love for humanity. And, these qualities are always seen in Gurudwaras which not only bring hope and peace but also love for its people. I appeal to my young friends to join the New India revolution, an India where everyone gets the best facilities and opportunities".

"Even before I could join a party or organisation; I have been a part of this College and its principles. Cleanliness has become a drive now which has also become an important factor for the society. Youngsters who follow these principles will not just grow in life; but will also lead the way," he said.

Earlier in the day, Piyush Goyal also attended the Somaiya Vidyavihar's 59th Foundation Day celebrations in Mumbai.

He urged the younger generation to come forward and participate in the Transform India campaign launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Goyal asked educational institutions to help India become "Super Power", where every citizen feels empowered and remains "self-reliant". (ANI)
