"Perpetrators would be brought to justice": J-K DGP visits family of slain cop in Baramulla.

Baramulla (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], November 4 (ANI): Director General of Police Jammu and Kashmir RR Swain today visited the home of slain head constable Ghulam Mohammed Dar who lost his life in a terror attack earlier this week in Baramullah district, police said in a statement.
"We have vowed to go to the bottom of the matter and identify the killer and all those who supported him in any way and bring them to justice," Swain told reporters later.
The DGP further said that an investigation into the case is underway.
"We have got leads in the case and an investigation is going on", adding that "perpetrators would be brought to justice very soon".
"We have lost a member of our police parivar, a nobleman, a father, a brother, and a citizen of Kashmir".
He was accompanied by ADGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar, DIG North Kashmir Vivek Gupta, and SSP Baramulla Amod Ashok Nagpure.
It added that the DGP assured that the whole police Pariwar (family) was with the slain cops' family and "assured them all possible support".
"The DGP said that handlers from across the borders are not sending money here to build hospitals, roads and other things but to support terrorism and disturb peace here," the statement quoting the DGP said.
"We will be able to foil their plans only when no one here supports them adding that we are working to create that atmosphere", the DGP said. He said, "Anyone here or from across the border providing any support to terror activities would be brought to justice".
Later in the afternoon, the DGP visited Police Station Pattan where he reviewed the functioning of the Police station and also checked the details of crime records.
While interacting with the jurisdictional Police personnel, the DGP stressed adopting comprehensive countermeasures to tackle terror crime incidents adding that protecting the lives of people is our utmost responsibility, it added.
He stressed augmenting the security in vulnerable places to prevent unfortunate incidents.
He directed the officers to further strengthen communication within the ranks and augment the security grids in their respective areas for the safety and security of the people, the release added.
The DGP said that all suspicious elements providing any kind of support to terrorist activities should be kept under the radar to foil their attempts.
