"People of Tejashwi's party are registered as voters at many places": BJP MP Jagdambika Pal

Reacting to Yadav's claim that his name had been removed from the electoral roll, the BJP leader alleged that Tejashwi's party was engaged in widespread electoral malpractice and demanded strict action against the RJD leader for allegedly possessing "two voter IDs."

New Delhi [India], August 4 (ANI): Amid the row over Special Intensive Revision (SIR)of electoral rolls in poll-bound Bihar, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Jagdambika Pal on Sunday alleged that Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav had "two voter IDs" and people of his party are registered as voters at "many places".
Reacting to Yadav's claim that his name had been removed from the electoral roll, the BJP leader told ANI, "It is surprising that he (Tejashwi Yadav) is the leader of a party. He was a voter from two places. He had two voter IDs, which is illegal. It is a crime. So it means that on a large scale, people of Tejashwi's party are registered as voters at many places."
He said that authorities should act against leaders who, as per the BJP leader, might have "two voter IDs".
"Many leaders might have 2 voter IDs. Action should be taken against this...The Election Commission is doing door-to-door verification in SIR today. They are protesting against it because they feel they would be exposed," Pal said.
Tejashwi Yadav, a former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister, had made allegations against the ECI over the draft electoral rolls published on Friday, first saying that his name is missing and then stating that his EPIC number has been changed.
In a press conference on Saturday, Tejashwi said his name was not included in the new draft voter list being revised in Bihar.
However, officials checked the records and found that his name is listed.
Janata Dal United (JDU) on Sunday slammed Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav, who claimed that his name was missing from the new draft voter list after the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), and said that the narrative of Tejashwi and the opposition has been "destroyed".
"Tejashwi Yadav's theft has been caught. Sometimes he cries about names being removed from the voter list, and sometimes he spreads lies about the EPIC number. The truth is that now the narrative of Tejashwi and the entire opposition has been completely destroyed," the party said in a post in hindi on social media platform X. (ANI)
