"People have shown their faith in PM Modi and handed over Delhi to him": BJP MP Kamaljit Sehrawat

Earlier, Rekha Gupta took oath as the ninth Chief Minister of Delhi at the historic Ramlila Maidan in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several NDA leaders and Chief Ministers. New Delhi [India], February 20 (ANI): Shortly after Rekha Gupta took charge as the 9th Chief Minister of Delhi, BJP MP Kamaljit Sehrawat stated that the people of Delhi have reposed faith in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and subsequently handed him the charge of the National Capital.
The BJP MP also accused the Aam Admi Party of indulging in corruption during their tenure.
"In the last 10 years, AAP was running politics of spreading confusion, lies and corruption in Delhi. Now, the BJP government has come to power in Delhi, and people have shown their faith in PM Modi and handed over Delhi to him," Sehrawat told ANI.
She also highlighted PM Modi's vision of a developed India.
"Now our cabinet formed today will work towards making Delhi the capital of PM Modi's vision of developed India...," She added, referring to the oath-taking ceremony of Rekha Gupta as Chief Minister along with her council of ministers.
Earlier, Rekha Gupta took oath as the ninth Chief Minister of Delhi at the historic Ramlila Maidan in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several NDA leaders and Chief Ministers. Speaking to ANI after taking oath as the fourth woman CM of Delhi, Rekha Gupta thanked the people of Delhi and expressed gratitude for the blessings.
"Thank you Delhi. I thank BJP, and I am grateful for the blessings of all of you," she said.
Apart from Rekha Gupta, Parvesh Verma who defeated AAP convener and former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal took oath as cabinet minister followed by Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Ashish Sood, Pankaj Kumar Singh, Kapil Mishra and Ravinder Indraj Singh.
Bharatiya Janata Party's top leadership including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Minister JP Nadda, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh were present on the occasion. (ANI)
