"People believe in development, rejecting false promises and negative politics": Uttarakhand CM on Maharashtra results

As Mahayuti is poised to form the government in Maharashtra, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Saturday said that the victory in the Maharashtra Assembly elections shows that the people believe only in development and rejects "false promises and negative politics."

Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], November 23 (ANI): As Mahayuti is poised to form the government in Maharashtra, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Saturday said that the victory in the Maharashtra Assembly elections shows that the people believe in development and rejects "false promises and negative politics."
"Congratulations and best wishes to all the hard-working workers, supporters and respected public on the massive and historic victory of the Mahayuti alliance in the Maharashtra elections. Under the successful leadership of the respected Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji, along with the efficient organizational capability of the National President JP Nadda ji, the BJP and our allies have achieved this magnificent success with unity and commitment. This victory is a symbol of the strong strategy of the Mahayuti alliance, the hard work of every worker and the unwavering public faith," CM Dhami said.
He further said that the victory shows that the people believe only in development and progress, rejecting "false promises and negative politics."
Uttarakhand Chief Minister extended best wishes to BJP candidate Asha Nautiyal for winning the elections from Kedarnath constituency.
"Congratulations and best wishes to BJP candidate Asha Nautiyal ji on her splendid victory! I have full faith that under your representation, Kedarnath Vidhansabha will touch new heights of continuous development," he said.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Asha Nautiyal won Uttarakhand's Kedarnath assembly constituency defeating Congress' Manoj Rawat.
Earlier today, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that the people of Maharashtra have given Mahayuti an "unprecedented victory" and there "will be no dispute on the CM's face".
"The people of Maharashtra have given us an unprecedented victory. This shows that people are with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In line with the slogan he gave 'ek hain toh safe hain', people from all sections and communities voted for us unitedly...," Fadnavis told reporters here.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah congratulated Eknath Shinde, Deputy CMs Ajit Pawar and Devendra Fadnavis, as the Mahayuti is on course to a landslide victory in the assembly elections.
Mahayuti has won or is ahead in 228 of 288 seats in the Maharashtra assembly. The opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi has won or is leading on 47 seats. (ANI)
