"Pension of those living in Haryana for 15 years not to be affected...": Haryana CM Khattar
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Wednesday said that the pension of people having proof of living in Haryana for 15 years will not be affected.
Hisar (Haryana) [India], September 6 (ANI): Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Wednesday said that the pension of people having proof of living in Haryana for 15 years will not be affected.
Addressing the media in Haryana's Hisar, CM Khattar said, "We have decided that the pension of people who have the evidence that they are living in Haryana for 15 years, will not be affected. The public wants the system to continue, be it portal or family IDs."
Earlier in July, CM Manohar Lal Khattar announced that unmarried people aged 45 to 60 years will now get a monthly pension of Rs 2,750, provided that their annual income is less than Rs 1.80 lakh.
Additionally, he announced that widowers aged 40 to 60 will get a monthly pension of Rs 2,750, provided their annual income is less than Rs three lakh.
He informed further that these beneficiaries will automatically start drawing the old age pension once they attain the age of 60 years.
"Some members of the opposition say that they would put an end to the portal or family IDs if voted to power. I want to thank them because the public itself would finish them off. You must have seen the fights that are going on within their alliance. The BJP is confident that under the leadership of Narendra Modiji (Prime Minister Narendra Modi), the government will be formed at the centre and in Haryana, as well", he added.
Notably, the Haryana assembly polls are scheduled to be held in 2024. (ANI)
