Pedalling to pay homage to Kargil war heroes, 12-yr-old from Haryana meets Spl DGP Arpit Shukla

Special Director General of Police (Spl DGP) Law and Order Arpit Shukla on Monday acclaimed and saluted the patriotic sentiments of a Haryana-based 12-years-old boy Arav Bhardwaj, who embarked on a 1200-km cycling journey from the Kargil War Memorial in Leh to pay homage to Kargil Martyrs on the occasion of Rajat Jayanti of Kargil Vijay.

Chandigarh (Punjab) [India], August 5 (ANI): Special Director General of Police (Spl DGP) Law and Order Arpit Shukla on Monday acclaimed and saluted the patriotic sentiments of a Haryana-based 12-years-old boy Arav Bhardwaj, who embarked on a 1200-km cycling journey from the Kargil War Memorial in Leh to pay homage to Kargil Martyrs on the occasion of Rajat Jayanti of Kargil Vijay.
Commencing on July 27, 2024, the cycling journey will conclude at the National War Memorial in New Delhi on Thursday.
Spl DGP Arpit Shukla, while giving his blessings to Arav, conferred him with a Punjab Police's memento and also handed over a poster with a message "Say No To Drugs, Say Yes To Punjab" to spread a message against drugs.
He said that Arav Bhardwaj is an ambassador who is propagating a message against drugs and saluting the Kargil Heroes.
During his journey from Leh to Chandigarh, Arav paid tributes at various war memorials, including Zojila, Badami Bagh, and Punjab State War Memorial. Accompanied by his father, his 13-day expedition spans Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Chandigarh and Haryana.
Meanwhile, a student of 8th Standard at Heritage School New Delhi, Arav Bhardwaj had also undertaken a 32 days, 2612 KMs yatra from INA War Memorial, Moirang, Manipur to National War Memorial, New Delhi to commemorate the 125th Birth Anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav in 2022.
