Lahaul-Spiti (Himachal Pradesh) [India], March 6 (ANI): In the wake of massive snowfall, residents of Pangmo village in Spiti district had to carry a patient on a sleigh. 
Owing to a lack of any means of transportation due to inclement weather conditions in the region, locals had to carry the patient to Kaza, a sub-divisional headquarters located in the district, for as many as 40 kilometres on Tuesday.
Helicopter services also came to a halt in the region due to incessant snowfall.
The region is known for heavy snowfall, which has often affected the lives of people who reside here. Heavy snowfall in the region has often hampered movement of vehicles as well. (ANI)
