Palvinder Singh, (GRP) Assistant Sub-Inspector

Pathankot (Punjab) [India], Nov 26 (ANI): Palvinder Singh, Government Railway Police's (GRP) Assistant Sub-Inspector on Sunday informed that six persons have been detained for interrogation from Pathankot Railway Station on the basis of suspicion.
The six individuals were detained from Pooja express train leaving from Pathankot towards Rajasthan via Delhi.
The detention of six individuals comes two days after four suspected 'terrorists' were spotted in Pathankot's Saidipur village on Friday night, prompting the state police to launch a massive search operation.
On Friday, residents of Saidipur village claimed to have spotted suspicious movement of around four people, suspected to be 'terrorists.' Police had also recovered an abandoned white Alto car, which was found around 25 km away from Pathankot, near Bamiyal area. The car was also spotted by the villagers.
A day later, on Saturday, Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) Suresh Arora said that the owner of the abandoned car which was used by suspected 'terrorists' was from Jammu. "The car owner has been traced. The person hails from Jammu," he told media persons here.
It is worth mentioning that last week the Punjab Police launched massive search operations after its counter-intelligence wing informed that some Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists reportedly entered Delhi from the state. (ANI)
