New Delhi [India], December 5 (ANI): Congress leader KC Venugopal on Thursday accused the BJP-led government of violating parliamentary procedures and norms, alleging that it is not providing sufficient space for the opposition parties to participate in discussions.
He said whenever Congress seeks inquiry over Adani issue, "character assassination from that (BJP) side comes".
"They are trying to threaten us. But come what may we will continue to fight. There are parliamentary procedures and norms which are being violated by the treasury side. This Parliament is only for government, they are not giving any space to the opposition," the Congress leader alleged.
Earlier, Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi on Thursday attacked the Union government over Adani issue.
"Modiji can't get Adani ji investigated because if he does that, he would be getting himself investigated...Modi aur Adani ek hain. Do nahi hain, ek hain," said Rahul Gandhi as he joined Opposition MPs in protest over Adani issue.
Congress leader and Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi was also seen standing during the opposition protest.
The Adani Group has denied the allegations made by the US Department of Justice and the US Securities and Exchange Commission against directors of Adani Green. (ANI)
