Over 650 roads including 4 National Highways closed in HP due to snowfall

Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [India], Jan 11 (ANI): The Himachal Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) on Saturday said that as many as 663 roads including four National Highways are still closed due to snowfall in the state.

Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [India], Jan 11 (ANI): The Himachal Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) on Saturday said that as many as 663 roads including four National Highways are still closed due to snowfall in the state.
The Authority informed that at least 2646 electricity supply schemes are disrupted while over 200 water supply schemes have been hampered across the state.
The weather bulletin of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), observed cold day conditions in most pockets over East Rajasthan and in isolated pockets over Himachal Pradesh, West Rajasthan, and Bihar.
IMD also predicted dense fog in isolated pockets over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi.
"Heavy rain/snow likely at a few places over Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, and at isolated places over Uttarakhand, Punjab and north Haryana on January 13," IMD said in its weather forecast.
"Thunderstorm accompanied with hail and lightning at isolated places over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and West Rajasthan on Jan 13," read the IMD bulletin. (ANI)
