Kolkata (West Bengal) [India], July 28 (ANI): Regarding the discussion on Operation Sindoor to be held in Parliament on Monday, Union Minister Sukanta Majumdar said that Operation Sindoor is a significant achievement, which will be discussed in the Parliament.
"Operation Sindoor is a significant achievement for all three of our country's armed forces. If this achievement is discussed in both houses of Parliament, the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha, the people of the country will learn more about it," said Sukanta Majumdar.
"We should take pride in the bravery and valour of our armed forces and loudly inform the entire nation about it. Efforts are being made to include Operation Sindoor in our school textbooks in the future, so that future generations can be informed about the valour of India's three armed forces," Majumdar added further.
Meanwhile, the Congress Party issued a three-line whip to all its Lok Sabha MPs on Sunday, directing them to remain present in the House for the next three days to ensure full attendance and discipline during the ongoing Monsoon Session of Parliament.
Lok Sabha is set to discuss key legislations on Monday, including a high-stakes special discussion on 'Operation Sindoor', India's military response to the Pahalgham terror attack.
After an opening week marked by adjournments, the lower house of Parliament is set to discuss the country's strong, successful, and decisive Operation Sindoor, as per the list of business notices issued by Lok Sabha.
The first week of the Monsoon session of Parliament was marked by major disruptions, including the surprise resignation of Jagdeep Dhankhar as Vice President. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is likely to initiate the discussion on Operation Sindhoor in the Lok Sabha on Monday.
Sources said that Home Minister Amit Shah, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, and BJP MPs Anurag Thakur and Nishikant Dubey are also expected to participate in the discussion in the Lok Sabha. (ANI)
