Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], August 8 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath highlighted his administration's focus on identifying and fostering opportunities within both the public and private sectors and said that the state government opened the door for investment and jobs in the state after organizing the Investors Summit in 2018.
Speaking at the event, the Chief Minister said, "Along with providing more than 6.5 lakh government jobs, transparently, we have also opened the door for investment in the state after organizing the Investors Summit in 2018."
Addressing attendees at the inauguration of Health City Vistaar, a 300-bed super specialty hospital in Gomti Nagar Extension, on Thursday, CM Yogi also lauded the Rs 200 crore healthcare facility as a tangible outcome of the UP Global Investors Summit.
Before 2017, CM Yogi noted that the state was unsafe for both women and investors. However, after the BJP came into power, they established a strict stance against crime and criminal activities.
"Before 2017, no investor was eager to come to UP. Investment has the first condition--the rule of law, which was not there in UP. Neither the daughters nor the investors were safe in the state. After coming to power, we made it clear that the government would have zero tolerance towards crime and criminals," he said.
Adding further, he said, "I am happy that the step that we have taken, the country accepts as a model and believes that such steps are required for the rule of law."
Notably, the rule of law is a political ideal that states that all citizens and institutions in a country, state, or community are accountable to the same laws, including lawmakers and leaders. It's sometimes stated that "no one is above the law."
Earlier on Wednesday, CM Yogi paid floral tribute at the site of Paramhans Ramchandra Das Maharaj in Ayodhya and said that the revered saint will always be remembered for his incomparable contributions to the progress of Sanatan Dharma and Ram Mandir construction.
Taking to the social media platform X, the Chief Minister wrote, "Humble tribute to the revered saint, the late Mahant Paramhans Ramchandra Das Ji Maharaj! He will always be remembered for his incomparable contributions to the progress of Sanatan Dharma and the construction of the grand temple of Lord Shri Ram." (ANI)
