Only essential services to be allowed in 75 districts with COVID-19 confirmed cases

A bench of Justices R Mahadevan and Pamidighantam Sri Narasimha delivered the ruling while dismissing civil appeals filed by the Central government - Ministry of Personnel and Training (MoPT) challenging judgments which had granted relief to certain OBC candidates in the Civil Services Examination.

Gujarat chief minister Bhupendra Patel on Thursday distributed 40 electric cars to Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) across the state in Gandhinagar to facilitate practical training in electric vehicle technology for trainees in the Motor Mechanic trade. The Government has undertaken several initiatives to strengthen the digital ecosystem of the judiciary with the aim of ensuring faster disposal of cases, improving transparency, and enhancing access to justice. These measures are being implemented primarily under the e-Courts Mission Mode Project and through a centrally sponsored scheme that supports State Governments and Union Territories in developing infrastructure for the district and subordinate judiciary.

A delegation of the association met with Karnataka Chief Secretary Shalini Rajneesh on Wednesday amid the reported shortage of commercial LPG cylinders. The members requested that a portion of the supply be reallocated for commercial use to ensure kitchens across the city continue functioning smoothly.

Sharing the service update on X, DMRC wrote, "Service Update. Delay in train services on the Magenta Line Extension between the Majlis Park and Deepali Chowk metro stations due to a technical issue. Normal services on all other lines."
