One terrorist killed in ongoing anti-infiltration operation in J-K's Uri: Army

One terrorist has been killed by the security forces in the ongoing anti-infiltration Operation along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Uri Sector, Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday, said Army.

Uri (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], June 23 (ANI): One terrorist has been killed by the security forces in the ongoing anti-infiltration Operation along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Uri Sector, Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday, said Army.
The operation, codenamed 'Bajrang,' was launched on June 22 following specific intelligence inputs and is continuing.
"One terrorist has been killed in the ongoing anti-infiltration Operation that was launched on 22 Jun in the Uri Sector; Operations are continuing," said Chinar Corps in a post on X.
The encounter broke out after army personnel noticed suspicious movement along the LoC in the Uri sector.
The latest infiltration attempt from across the border has come at a time when major terrorist incidents have been reported in Jammu and Kashmir in the last 15 days.
Earlier, two terrorists were killed in an encounter with the security forces in the Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir on June 19.
"On specific intelligence input regarding the presence of terrorists, a Joint Operation was launched by the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police today in the Hadipora area of PD Sopore; two terrorists eliminated, and the operation is in progress," the Chinar Corps-Indian Army posted on X.
