Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], January 27 (ANI): Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated as the chief guest in the annual convention of the Uttarakhand Provincial Civil Services (Executive Branch) Association and said that officers act as a bridge between the government and the general public in Dehradun on Saturday.

The Chief Minister also released Sangh's annual magazine 'Aarohi' on the occasion.
The Chief Minister said that appropriate action would be taken on the demands given by the Uttarakhand Provincial Civil Services (Executive Branch) Association and that the issues would be solved.

Addressing the officers of the Uttarakhand Provincial Civil Service, the Chief Minister said, "You all are important parts of the government. When you do commendable work in the public interest, it increases public confidence in the government."
CM Dhami said that officers act as a bridge between the government and the general public.
"Our officers are a powerful medium for implementing government schemes and making them reach the common people. The better coordination the officers establish between the public and the government, the faster work will be done in the public interest. The entire responsibility of implementing the policy decisions taken by the government rests on the officers," said the CM.

He further said that officers are the pioneers of good governance and appealed to all the officials to emphasise good governance and innovation.
The Chief Minister said that a different image of Uttarakhand has been created in the country, and to maintain this image, all our officers have to work as brand ambassadors.
"It is the collective responsibility of all of us to bring Uttarakhand into the category of the best states. A different image of the best Uttarakhand is being created across the country, and the responsibility of maintaining this image is on you all," he said.
He said that the Provincial Civil Service is not a general service and that, out of crores of people, few people get the opportunity to serve in this way.
The Chief Minister expressed hope that all the officers will work with full dedication given the opportunity to serve the approximately 1.25 crore people of Uttarakhand and for the welfare of the state.
He said that ever since he got the responsibility of Chief Servant of the State, he has been devoting every moment to the service of the state with routine, mind and thoughts.
The Chief Minister called upon the officers of the Uttarakhand Provincial Civil Service to work on the mantra of good governance with quick decisions for quick resolution of public problems and quick access to schemes for the common people.
He said that we should move forward by imbibing the basic mantra of no pendency. "We have to adopt new working behaviours in the state. To work with the new work culture, we have to learn a lot from Prime Minister Narendra Modi," he said.
The Chief Minister said that if any officer wants to make any suggestions in the interest of the state and the public, they could contact him directly.
The Chief Minister said that arrangements will be made for in-service training for Uttarakhand Provincial Civil Service officers three times. Service opportunities will be given in both the hilly and plain areas of the state.
The Chief Minister said that commendable work has been done by the officers of the Uttarakhand Provincial Civil Service on various occasions.
"Our officers have made important contributions to the Silkyara operation, the benefits of various schemes to the people, organising investor summits, the removal of encroachments and various campaigns being run by the government," said the CM. (ANI)
