Odisha: Naveen Patnaik inaugurates projects worth Rs 700 crores

Sambalpur (Odisha), [India], Feb 2(ANI): Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated a slew of projects worth Rs 700 crores in Sambalpur on Friday.

Sambalpur (Odisha), [India], Feb 2(ANI): Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated a slew of projects worth Rs 700 crores in Sambalpur on Friday. 
During his visit to Sambalpur, Patnaik also inaugurated a high-level second bridge over Mahanadi River at an estimated cost of Rs 117.72 crore. The 1.5 Km long bridge will connect the district Headquarters with the rural area or the region by reducing the distance of 25 km between them. It will facilitate better transportation and give a boost to tourism.
Addressing the Youth Conclave of Biju Yuva Vahini here, the Chief Minister said, "I am happy to dedicate these projects to the people of this region for the welfare and development." 
Beside these projects, Patnaik also announced five projects worth of Rs 88 crores including the development of national highways and two more bridges—Malatijora and Balibandha that will be built at a cost of Rs 20 crore and Rs 10 crore, respectively.
A road, which connects the district school to Naksapalli and Durgapalli to NH, will be widened to four lanes at a cost of Rs 40 crore and Rs 15 crore, respectively.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated 19 developmental projects worth Rs 100 crores and laid foundation stones of 14 welfare projects worth Rs 338 crores. (ANI)
