Odisha: Music composer Saroj Pattnayak passes away

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday expressed profound grief over the untimely demise of renowned Tharu folk singer Rinku Rana, who passed away in a road accident.

Holi was celebrated in India across different states and regions with great enthusiasm and joy. In Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath celebrated holi with common people at Ghantaghar Chauraha in Gorakhpur. CM Yogi Adityanath expressed happiness over the joyful atmosphere brought on the occassion of Holi, highlighting how such a festival is bringing in joy and enthusiasm while the world is in disarray. People in Vrindavan and Mathura celebrated Holi with full joy, dance and music. In Prayagraj, a large number of people gather at Loknath Chauraha to dance and celebrate Holi.

On the occasion of the festival of colours, Holi, the Aaroha Parivaar has organised a special event titled 'Devon Ki Holi' in Dehradun on Monday.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the Holi Milan celebration held on Monday at the BJP State Office in Dehradun, where he played Holi with party office-bearers and workers and extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to everyone on this auspicious festival.

Sumitra Chattopadhyay, a descendant of 'Vande Mataram' composer Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay and a former senior official of the Labour Department, formally joined the BJP in Kolkata on Thursday.
