Odisha: Classes 11, 8 to reopen from Oct 21, Oct 25 respectively

In an inspiring display of gratitude and social service, around 40,000 tribal students of the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) came together in Bhubaneswar to celebrate the 76th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Union Minister for Education Pralhad Joshi launched the six-month Certificate (Bridge) Course in Primary Teacher Education (PTE) in New Delhi on September 16.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), in collaboration with the Government of the Union Territory of Ladakh, is conducting a month-long in-person academic support programme for students of Classes X and XII studying in Government schools across Ladakh, the release said.

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Thursday interacted with students of Government Senior Secondary School, Rail, in Hamirpur district’s Nadaun area and sought feedback on their studies, careers and changes in the education sector. During the interaction, students raised issues related to cleanliness, the CBSE curriculum, NEET question paper leaks, bus services and damaged school steps. Sukhu said cleanliness should become a people’s movement and stressed that those involved in question paper leaks would face strict action. He also directed officials to repair the damaged steps and said necessary arrangements were being made for a bus service from Rangs to the school.

Ranka claimed that the campaign had put pressure on governments and referred to steps being taken in Haryana and Rajasthan regarding dilapidated school buildings.
