Odisha: 4 dead, 5 injured in wall collapses in Dhenkanal

In a major boost to India's agricultural exports, the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry facilitated the first export consignment of 25 metric tonnes of GI-tagged Joha rice from Assam to the United Kingdom and Italy on March 12, 2026, in collaboration with the Assam Agriculture Department.

During his visit, Sangma directed the district administration to immediately provide food assistance to communities affected by the disturbances. Residents informed the Chief Minister that around 17 communities in and around the Araimile locality are currently facing shortages of rice and other essential commodities.

The new train services will collectively benefit millions of passengers across Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha, and Jharkhand.
