Chandigarh (Punjab) [India], September 6 (ANI):: National Students' Union of India (NSUI) - the student wing of the Indian National Congress on Wednesday won the Panjab University Students Council election 2023.
Jatinder Singh from NSUI was elected as the President after the results were announced today.
Talking to ANI, Jatinder Singh, a PhD scholar from Bathinda said that they are happy after winning the elections. 'I thank all the students for their support. This time I got an opportunity to represent the Punjab University. Our fight is against the government. We have always maintained that students would not allow the government to rule here.

'Punjab University wins, now it's Delhi University's turn,' NSUI posted on X after the election results were announced.
Aam Aadmi Party's student union Chhatra Yuva Sangharsh Samiti (CYSS), which had won last year, came third this time.
Ahead of the elections, the Aam Admi Party-led Punjab Government had given a grant to build a hostel at Panjab University, Chandigarh.
'Despite this, its student union CYSS could not perform well in the elections of Punjab University,' they said. (ANI)
