NRI gives facelift to Haryana village

Chandigarh (Haryana), [India], Dec 1 (ANI): A non-resident Indian Gaurav Aggarwal, settled in the United States of America, has spent Rs 1.5 crore on the development of Dangra village in Tohana assembly seat. He has adopted the village on call of Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal, who has urged NRIs to lend their support in the development of their birthplace in the state.

Chandigarh (Haryana), [India], Dec 1 (ANI): A non-resident Indian Gaurav Aggarwal, settled in the United States of America, has spent Rs 1.5 crore on the development of Dangra village in Tohana assembly seat. He has adopted the village on call of Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal, who has urged NRIs to lend their support in the development of their birthplace in the state.
NRI's commitment to making Dangra as an ideal village has borne fruits. Many development projects initiated for the village have been completed. Local MLA Subhash Barala on Saturday inaugurated a park, drainage for dirty water, three toilets and clean drinking water scheme and laid the foundation stone of another park in the village in the presence of Gaurav Aggarwal and his wife Meenu Aggarwal who especially reached the village from America, for the purpose.
According to an official statement, the NRI has spent over Rs 1.25 crore on the development of the village. He had made the commitment for the construction of a solid waste management plant, solar plant, a library and three parks in the village. Apart from this, arrangements and efforts are also being made for providing clean drinking water and cleanliness in the village. (ANI)
