Nobody ready to become Let Commander in J&K: DGP Vaid

Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], Sep 18 (ANI): Nobody is ready to take up vacant position of Laskar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), said state Director General of Police (DGP) S.P. Vaid.

After Amarnath terror attack mastermind and Lashkar commander Abu Ismail was killed, Vaid said that the position of the LeT commander is vacant in J&k but nobody is willing to take up the role.

"I've heard that the position of the commander of LeT is vacant and that nobody is willing to take it up," he said.

Speaking at an event, Vaid said that Operation All-Out will continue till the time there is peace in Kashmir.

He said, "The Operation will continue till the time there is peace in Kashmir."

He also stressed on how a healthy environment will make the children in the valley stronger.

"We want the children to smile and lead happy lives. It is my earnest appeal to the people to show the right path to their children," he said.

Amarnath terror attack mastermind and Lashkar commander Abu Ismail and one of his associate on September 14 killed were in an encounter with the security forces in Nowgam village of Anantnag district in Kashmir. (ANI)
