Vizianagaram (Andhra Pradesh) [India], Mar 21 (ANI): Upping the ante against Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) chief Jagan Mohan Reddy, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday claimed that there would be no security in the state if the former emerged victorious in the ensuing elections.
"If Jagan wins, there will be no security in the state. They killed their own uncle and are doing drama," said Chief Minister Naidu at a rally here.
Naidu alleged: "Jagan should not get even a single vote. If YSRCP gets seats, KCR (Telangana Chief Minister) will go to Delhi and get hold over Andhra Pradesh. Jagan will sell off the state to KCR. If you vote for YSRCP, you will give power to KCR over Andhra Pradesh."
He claimed that development in the state will be hampered if Jagan emerged victorious in the general elections.
"If Jagan comes to power, development in Andhra Pradesh will be hampered. Investors will run away from the state. They know Jagan's past history of taking share in their investments," Naidu said.
Alleging that KCR and Prime Minister Narendra Modi were trying to install Jagan in the state, Naidu said, "KCR has been telling that he would give me return gift. That is nothing but Rs 1,000 crore that they are providing for Jagan."
"With that money, Jagan is trying to buy out the voters at Rs 5,000. People should be very alert as they are coming to destroy the state," he said.
Sharpening his attack on the YSRCP chief, the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister claimed that Jagan does not know administration or politics and labelled him as a "criminal".
"Jagan’s life is full of crimes. If YSRCP wins, there will be goons and rowdies everywhere. Our future will be destroyed. Jagan doesn’t know administration or politics. He knows nothing and he is a criminal. If he gets that chance, he will sell off the state to Telangana," Naidu said.
Naidu asserted that KCR was taking "revenge" and his political vendetta was not against him but against Andhra Pradesh.
"He doesn’t want Andhra Pradesh to be developed. For the same, he is trying to create hurdles to the state in all aspects. It is my responsibility to develop Andhra Pradesh better than Telangana and Gujarat," he said.
Further attacking the BJP, Naidu remarked, "Prime Minister Modi betrayed Andhra Pradesh. He did not implement bifurcation promises or assurances made on the floor of the Parliament. He also did not give special category status for our state."
"When we are asking for our genuine rights, Modi is aiming Income Tax, Enforcement Directorate or CBI on us. ED and CBI are raiding the houses of our MPs and MLAs," he alleged.
Highlighting the development works done his government, Naidu said, "The TDP has done much for the development of the people in the last five years. Development of the state is possible only with us."
"It was me who put Hyderabad in the world map. After bifurcation of the state, we started with empty hands. Now we reached that level that we are able to provide interruption-free power supply."
"Our government has been balancing development and welfare schemes. We have given Rs 10,000 to almost 1 crore DWCRA women, which need not be repaid, under the scheme Pasupu-Kumkuma. Soon, we will give smartphones too," he added.
Naidu underlined that the state government increased pensions ten-fold and it was paying welfare pensions in the range of Rs 2,000 to Rs 3,500.
"For farmers, we have waived off the loans. Now we brought Annadata Sukheebhava policy. It is better than the central government’s scheme. We are paying all farmers, including tenant farmers, without any cap on the field a farmer is yielding. Every farmer will get a maximum of Rs 15,000 under this scheme," he said.
Naidu said that TDP was the only party that safeguards the interests of the tribal people. “Your future is my responsibility,” he added.
Prior to the rally, Naidu held a roadshow in Saluru and campaigned for Vizianagaram Lok Sabha candidate V Kishore Chandra Deo and Saluru Assembly contestant R P Bhanj Deo. (ANI)
