Sirsa (Haryana) [India], September 23 (ANI): Aam Admi Party (AAP) National Convener Arvind Kejriwal on Monday claimed that no government can be formed without the support of AAP in Haryana.
Arvind Kejriwal stated that he resigned and asked the people of Delhi to elect him only if they think he is honest.
"In the entire world, no one believes that Kejriwal is a thief. No one leaves even a job, but I have resigned and asked the people of Delhi that elect me as your CM only if you believe that I am honest. If you will vote for me again, then only I'll sit in the Chief Minister's chair..., Kejriwal said during a roadshow in Haryana's Dabwali assembly.
Caling himself the son of Haryana, Kejriwal alleged, "BJP tried very hard to break your son, tortured me, and stopped my medicines. But I am a boy from Haryana; they can break anyone but not a person from Haryana."
"No government can be formed in Haryana without AAP. It is my responsibility that whichever government is formed with our support, we will ensure that electricity in Haryana is provided free of charge," said Kejriwal, who was released from Tihar Jail earlier in the month in the Delhi excise policy case.
Meanwhile, launching a scathing attack against the Congress party, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Monday that Congress leaders were fighting amongst themselves over Haryana Assembly tickets, adding, that also there is an infighting in Congress for the Chief Ministerial position in Haryana.
Addressing a public rally in Haryana's Jagadhari, Shah said, "Hooda father and son are fighting amongst themselves. They are also fighting over ticket distribution. In the BJP, Manohar Lal Khattar himself left his seat for young leader Nayab Singh Saini."
Lashing out at the Congress party over one rank, one pension scheme, he said, "It is said that every tenth soldier comes from Haryana. I salute those mothers who send their sons to safeguard us. I want to say to Congress that Haryana has been demanding one rank, one pension for 40 years. Our jawans have also raised this demand but the Congress party never agreed upon it. BJP formed govt in 2014 and passed one rank, one pension scheme in 2015. Lakhs of rupees were transferred to to bank accounts of security personnel."
Voting for the 90-member legislative assembly in Haryana will be held on October 5. Votes will be counted on October 8 along with that in Jammu and Kashmir. (ANI)
