Cuddalore (Tamil Nadu) [India], July 15 (ANI): Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Tuesday said that as long as the DMK-led alliance stands united, no "Delhi force" can succeed in the State. He was speaking after launching the Ungaludan Stalin (Stalin with you) programme in Chidambaram in Cuddalore district.
"I firmly believe that as long as we (the DMK alliance) stand united, no Delhi force can succeed here (in Tamil Nadu)," Stalin said, in an apparent reference to the BJP's effort to become a potent political force in the State.
According to the officials, under the Ungaludan Stalin programme, 43 services from 13 departments would be offered in urban areas and 46 from 15 departments would be offered in rural areas under the programme.
"Before the election, I received petitions from the people and promised to fulfil them within 100 days--and we have done it. Trusting in this commitment, people continued to submit petitions, so we extended the initiative. After our government came to power, we delivered on those promises," the Chief Minister said.
"Ten thousand camps will be conducted, where volunteers will go door to door. Women who did not receive the Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai scheme will now be enrolled, and 46 other services will be provided. Medical camps will also be held alongside the Ungaludan Stalin camps," he added.
Stalin also inagurated the memorial in Chidambaram for the late Dalit leader and former president of Tamil Nadu Congress Committe L Elaya Perumal.
"I am proud to inaugurate the Elaya Perumal Memorial in Chidambaram, which is the parliamentary constituency of Thirumavalavan. We take pride in constructing this memorial," he said.
"Today, the state government has deployed 29 archakars (priests) in various temples. The DMK government is the one that does the best and introduces numerous schemes for SC/ST communities," he added.
The Chief Minister also announced that an industrial park will soon be established in Kodunkanpalayam, spanning 150 acres, where thousands of women from the district will gain employment.
Meanwhile, AMMK (Amma Makkal Munnettra Kazagam) General Secretary, TTV Dhinakaran, exuded confidence in the NDA alliance winning the 2026 Assembly election in Tamil Nadu.
"We will proceed according to our plan, and our alliance will win in the 2026 election... Union Home Minister Amit Shah is putting a lot of effort into defeating DMK and strengthening our alliance, and I don't want to say anything to disturb that," Dhinakaran said.
Reacting to the 'Ungaludan Stalin' programme, he said, "He (Stalin) knows he is not with the people... People are saying we are not with him... He is repeating what he did before 2021, but people are aware that DMK is not with them and they will vote against DMK... They will lose over 200 seats." (ANI)
