Patna (Bihar) [India], September 25 (ANI): Dismissing the speculations in connection to his return to the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday said that he has been working to unite the Opposition.
CM Nitish Kumar and Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav paid tribute to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay on his birth anniversary in Patna on Monday.
Addressing the media after paying tribute to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, Kumar said, "You all know, I have been working to unite the Opposition. I have nothing to do with what others say..."
When asked about the objectionable remarks made by the BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri in the Lok Sabha, Kumar said that he doesn't care who says what.
"We don't care who says what. We are doing what we are supposed to do," he said.
Ramesh Bidhuri's objectionable remarks against Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MP Danish Ali have triggered anger among the Opposition parties, with their demand for strict action against Bidhuri.
Ali has given an ultimatum of leaving the Parliament if the Speaker will not conduct an inquiry into the matter.
Earlier, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar did not attend the launching of Vande Bharat Express on the invitation of railways on Sunday.
Reacting to this, BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad asked when the Chief Minister of Bihar will show a big heart.
Ravi Shankar Prasad told ANI, “It is a very historic day, congratulations to Prime Minister Modi and to Rail Minister. The second Vande Bharat train from Patna was flagged off today. I will soon request to start a Vande Bharat train from Patna to Delhi. I heard that Nitish Kumar was also invited. it would have been nice if he had come. He has also been a railway minister and sometimes the Chief Minister of Bihar should show a big heart.” (ANI)
