Nigerian national brutally thrashed by locals over charges of theft in Delhi

New Delhi [India], Oct. 9 (ANI): A Nigerian national was tied to a pole and brutally thrashed by the locals for alleged theft in Delhi's Malviya Nagar.

In the disturbing video which is said to be shot on September 24, the Nigerian national can be seen screaming and pleading for mercy but nobody came for his help.

As per the locals, the Nigerian national was allegedly intoxicated and used to thieve in the area.

An FIR was also filled by a resident of the Malviya Nagar in which it is stated the Nigerian national attempted burglary and got hurt after her fell from the stairs.

Following this the accused was arrested and was sent to custody.

"We received a complaint against a Nigerian national over attempted burglary on September 24. A Case was registered and person was arrested," said the spokesperson of the Delhi Police.

After the video came to light the spokesperson said that they have taken cognizance of the video, verified it and then will take legal action on the same. (ANI)
