NIB-CID arrests 336 drug traffickers, seizes 1184 Kg Ganja in 15 days

The Narcotics Intelligence Bureau's Criminal Investigation Department (NIB-CID) has arrested 336 drug traffickers and seized 1,184 Kg of ganja worth Rs 1,18,40,000 in a span of 15 days, from August 28 to September 11 this year.

New Delhi [India], September 15 (ANI): The Narcotics Intelligence Bureau's Criminal Investigation Department (NIB-CID) has arrested 336 drug traffickers and seized 1,184 Kg of ganja worth Rs 1,18,40,000 in a span of 15 days, from August 28 to September 11 this year.
The accused include 13 females, sais the NIB-CID.
The agency has also detained two persons.
In addition, the NIB-CID has conducted 87 awareness programs to educate the public about the dangers of drug abuse.

"In continuation of action against illegal trafficking of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances all over the State, during from August 28 to September 11 a total of 336 accused including 13 females were arrested and remanded to judicial custody. In this regard a total of 1184Kgs. of Ganja seized worth Rs. 1,18,40,000, 2 persons detained under goonds, one case ended conviction of small imprisonment for one month with file Rs.5000 and conducted 87 awareness programs," stated NIB-CID .
