NIA court sends Asiya Andrabi to judicial custody

New Delhi [India], July 16 (ANI): The National Investigation Agency (NIA) court on Monday sent Dukhtaran-e-Milat chief Asiya Andrabi and two others for 30 days judicial custody in connection with two separate cases registered against them.

New Delhi [India], July 16 (ANI): The National Investigation Agency (NIA) court on Monday sent Dukhtaran-e-Milat chief Asiya Andrabi and two others for 30 days judicial custody in connection with two separate cases registered against them.
The NIA in the court stated that the investigation conducted so far has revealed Asiya Andrabi, Sofi Fehmeeda and Nahida Nasreen were allegedly involved in conspiracy and acts to severely destabilise the sovereignty and integrity of India.
During the investigation, the several mobile numbers used by members of Dukhtaran-e-Millat were also collected and analysed.
The mobile details also revealed that they are in regular contact with their associates in Pakistan and involved in anti-India activities.
The NIA further informed the court that the arrested Dukhtaran-e-Millat members were allegedly running a concerted campaign on social media to solicit the support of Pakistani establishment which inter-alia includes arranging support from terrorist entities from Pakistan.
Andrabi and two other Kashmiri separatists were produced before the court amidst tight security.
The case was registered against the three as well as the organisation, which was banned under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, in April this year.
Andrabi and her associates were lodged in Srinagar after the Jammu and Kashmir High Court cancelled her bail last month.
All three of them were brought here for the proceedings. (ANI)
