NIA, C-DAC sign MoU to establish robust IT network

New Delhi [India], Nov. 3 (ANI): A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Friday between the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), at the NIA headquarters in a bid to establish a stronger network of IT, architecture and security.

New Delhi [India], Nov. 3 (ANI): A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Friday between the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), at the NIA headquarters in a bid to establish a stronger network of IT, architecture and security.

The MoU, which was signed by Mukesh Singh IPS, IG from NIA and Dr. Hemant Darbari, Executive Director from C-DAC, in the presence of Yogesh Chander Modi, DG, NIA and Dr. Debashis Dutta, DG, C-DAC, has been implemented to the extent of two years to establish a collaboration between the C-DAC and the NIA for consultancy/turnkey solutions in designing and implementing the Information Systems Architecture, Data Centre and other related Information Systems Projects of critical importance to the intelligence agency and its branches.

In the past as well, the C-DAC Trivandrum was consulted by the NIA's Kochi branch for capacity building of NIA IT division and in the field of Cyber Forensics.?

With the present MoU with C-DAC, the NIA aims to establish a robust network IT architecture and security, a state-of-the-art data centre, hardware optimisation and an advanced cyber-forensics capability for the NIA headquarters and its branches. (ANI)
