New judges, additional judges appointed in High Courts of Kerala, Gauhati, Orissa

New judges and additional judges have been appointed in the High Courts of Kerala, Orissa and Gauhati, Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal said on Saturday.

New Delhi [India], September 2 (ANI): New judges and additional judges have been appointed in the High Courts of Kerala, Orissa and Gauhati, Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal said on Saturday. 
While Justice CS Stulha and Judicial Officer Huth Habuar have been appointed as Judge and Additional Judge in Kerala and Gauhati High Courts respectively, Advocate Sibo Soaker Mishra, and Judicial Officer Ananda Chandra Behera have been appointed as Judges in Orissa High Court. 
Union Minister Meghwal, taking to social media platform X, said, "In exercise of the power conferred by the Constitution of India, the President of India, after consultation with the Chief Justice of India, is pleased to appoint the following as Judges / Additional Judges of High Courts. I convey my best wishes to them." 
Earlier in August, a three-judge collegium headed by Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud recommended the names of two judicial officers, one advocate and one additional judge for appointment as judges of the high courts of Orissa, Gauhati and Kerala.
The collegium had recommended the names of advocate Sibo Sankar Mishra and judicial officer Ananda Chandra Behera as judges of the Orissa High Court. It recommended the name of judicial officer Budi Habung for appointment as a judge of the Gauhati High Court. It also recommended that Additional Judge Justice CS Sudha be appointed as Permanent Judge of the Kerala High Court. (ANI)
