Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], October 23 (ANI): Karnataka Minister for Large and Medium Industries MB Patil said that the new industrial policy for 2025-30 will be framed with inputs from industry experts to help Karnataka achieve its goal of becoming a $1 trillion economy.
Speaking at the "Transformative Karnataka" event organised by the American Chamber of Commerce in India (AMCHAM), Patil mentioned that the policy will be flexible enough to allow amendments as needed over time.
Calling for cooperation from industrialists across sectors, the minister emphasised that the policy will be formulated in consultation with various stakeholders. "We will work towards deep collaborations, addressing gaps in infrastructure, skill development, and technology adoption. Government agencies will be tasked with conducting comprehensive skill gap studies," Patil added.
He further explained that these studies will help identify the gaps between the skills currently available and those required by employers. Targeted training programmes will be developed to equip the workforce with the necessary skills. "Aligning our educational initiatives with industry needs will be a priority," Patil stressed.
The minister highlighted that Karnataka's focus is not just on economic growth, but also on creating opportunities that uplift communities and empower the youth. "We aspire for Karnataka's inclusive progress. Our goal is to build an ecosystem that balances the needs of industries with the aspirations of citizens," Patil claimed. (ANI)
