NEET to be conducted only once this year, says Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal

Congress MP Jairam Ramesh on Thursday claimed that the Modi government is "clearly afraid" of a discussion in both Houses of the Parliament on the situation in West Asia and its impact on India.

Congress MP Jairam Ramesh on Wednesday said that after US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has now given a "capitulation certificate" to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, referring to her India being a 'good actor" remark.

The Court noted that under Clause 2.3 of the NBEMS handbook, only candidates currently pursuing a postgraduate course are barred from admission to Sponsored Post MBBS DNB seats. Since the petitioner had already relinquished her previously allotted seat and was not pursuing any PG course, the Court observed that the clause prima facie appeared inapplicable to her case.

Sharing a newspaper article on X, Ramesh alleged that the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi had rushed through legislation in Parliament to replace the previous rural employment scheme without adequate consultations.

Shortly after External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar remarked on the West Asia Conflict in Rajya Sabha, Opposition MPs staged a walkout for the day, accusing the government of not allowing counter questions to discuss the matter.
