New Delhi [India], November 22 (ANI): on Friday said that the political situations of Karnataka could change at any time and further said that he wanted the construction of the Congress office in Mysore.
Speaking to ANI, Parameshwara said "Looking at the political developments, nothing can be said. As soon as our government is in place we have to complete the laying of the foundation stone. Many times I had convinced the Chief Minister to build a Congress office in Mysore as soon as possible. It is necessary to build a strong party in Mysore and Chamarajanagar. After a long time, Siddaramiah has promised to bring 15 crore rupees as he agreed. I don't know what will happen next."
Further, he said that he fought a lot to get the construction place for the Congress office in Mysore.
"I fought a lot to get a place for the construction of the Congress office in Mysore, I had many meetings with Chandraprabha Arasu, Tanveer Sait and other committee members. Now the CM agreed and going to build the Congress office soon at the cost of 15 crore rupees," the Karnataka Home Minister said.
Earlier, on November 18, Parameshwara had accused the BJP of continuing Operation Lotus in the state.
He said that the BJP was still trying to buy MLAs and held these attempts as being "true" based on the statement made by the Chief Minister.
"BJP is still trying to buy legislators. They keep trying to do this. It might be true because the chief minister has said it is being done in crores. We will investigate the matter if we get the correct document. Why not investigate if the record is found? BJP is known for Operation Lotus. They are experts in this," said Parameshwara while talking to the media.
Reacting to the Lokayukta clearing the previous BJP government in Karnataka of allegations regarding a 40 per cent commission scheme, Minister Parameshwara said that he would read the report first and would examine the basis of the decision taken by the Lokayukta.
Reacting to the alleged "racist" remarks made by his colleague Minister Zameer Ahmed Khan, senior Congress leader Parameshwara said that Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president DK Shivakumar himself said that his statement was a burden to the party. (ANI)
