NCB conducts multiple raids in Goa, Mumbai

The Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) of the Shahdara district apprehended a 19-year-old woman, identified as Roopa, for her alleged involvement in drug peddling. During the operation, police recovered 55.52 grams of smack (heroin) from her possession in East Delhi's Geeta Colony.

The manufacture, sale and distribution of drugs are regulated in the country under the provisions of Drugs & Cosmetics Act, 1940 and Rules thereunder through a system of licensing and inspection, an official release from Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said.

FHRAI VP Pradeep Shetty on Tuesday said that the shortage of commercial LPG cylinders has escalated into a severe supply disruption across several Indian cities, with hotels and restaurants reporting near-complete halts in operations.

"We are not getting any real output or support from the government. I only heard that an official named Amol Sonawane from Baramati offered a cheque of Rs 5 lakh," he said.
