Navy Chief Admiral Tripathi presides over operational-level discussions at Kochi

The Commanders-in-Chief, senior leadership from the Indian Navy, sister Services, HQIDS and Coast Guard participated in the discussions, said the Navy in an official release.

Kochi (Kerala) [India], August 31 (ANI): Indian Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi presided over the operational-level discussions conducted in Kochi from 27 - 30 August.
The Commanders-in-Chief, senior leadership from the Indian Navy, sister Services, HQIDS and Coast Guard participated in the discussions, said the Navy in an official release.
Indian Navy During the four-day intense deliberations, operational concepts and responses to various operational scenarios with tri-services synergy and coordination with the Coast Guard and other maritime agencies were critically analysed.
The discussions also focused on the developments in warfare, identifying areas for greater synergy in joint efforts, key technological support requirements, operational logistics and optimising manpower resources to tackle emerging maritime challenges, said the release.

Tripathi, arrived on his maiden visit to Southern Naval Command (SNC), Kochi, on August 26, his first visit after taking over as Naval Chief.
On arrival, the CNS was presented with a ceremonial Guard of Honour at INS Garuda.
During the visit, the CNS interacted with Vice Admiral V Srinivas, Flag Officer Commanding in Chief, Southern Naval Command and was provided an update on various training, operational, infrastructure and administrative activities progressed by the Command.
The Navy Chief also interacted with the officers in Kochi and across various units of the Southern Naval Command (SNC). He acknowledged the pivotal role of SNC in shaping future leaders of the Navy and laid thrust on the importance of Training as the key determinant of combat readiness & successful operations at sea.

The CNS also underscored the Training Command's contribution to building bridges of friendship with friendly foreign Navies by imparting qualitative professional training. CNS emphasised the significance of " Why we are doing, what we are doing" towards deeper understanding and purpose behind actions, to achieve the desired objectives.
He highlighted the strength of the time-tested Divisional System towards effective warfighting & cohesion within the organisation. During his address, CNS commended the professional conduct of SNC in providing assistance and succour during the rescue and. relief operations in the landslide-affected areas of Wayanad, reaffirming the Indian Navy's commitment to crisis response. CNS reiterated the need to be a Combat Ready, Cohesive and Future Ready Force at all times, with focus on Ordnance on Target, serve as First Responder, and remain as Preferred Security Partner in the region.
Being the Training Command of the Indian Navy, a comprehensive overview of the training canvas, along with the augmentation of various training facilities and modernisation projects, was also presented. The CNS inaugurated the renovated Command Stadium at Naval Base, Kochi.
The stadium features an eight-lane synthetic track of international standards, a central football field and various athletic facilities which will be a hub for sports and games. The CNS also interacted with the Navy football and volleyball teams and congratulated them for winning the inter-services trophies this year. (ANI)
