The Kerala High Court on Saturday disqualified Vellappally Natesan from the position of General Secretary of the SNDP (Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana) Yogam.

He said that the complaint is a result of a conspiracy running against him in view of the upcoming Assembly elections.

In his letter, Odisha CM wrote, 'The incident cast an avoidable shadow on the image of Bengal, a land known for its culture, civility and respect for democratic institutions."

According to the police, the raid was conducted after authorities received specific information from an informant regarding gambling activities taking place at the farmhouse. Acting on the tip-off, a police team reached the location and carried out the operation.
