Navaratri Brahmotsavam concludes with Chakra Snanam in Andhra's Tirupati

Tirupati (Andhra Pradesh) [India], October 23 (ANI): The nine-day Navaratri Brahmotsavam of Lord Sri Venkateswara came to an end with the conduct of Chakra Snanam amidst chanting of hymns from the scriptures by Veda pandits on Monday.

The deities Malyappa, his consorts and Sudarsana Chakrathalwar were ceremoniously brought in a decorated palanquin where Snapana Thirumanjanam (celestial bath) was performed to the deities in a grand manner amidst chants of Veda mantras.
Panchabhisheka Snanam with milk, curd, honey, turmeric and sandal paste was rendered to deities in the ceremony.

Thousands of devotees took holy baths in Varaha Pushkarini at the same time as Swami immersed his Sudarshana Chakra in Pushkarini.
Golden Trichy Utsav will be held tonight to mark the end of Brahmotsavam.
Brahmotsavam is a festival to commemorate an offering by Lord Bramha to Lord Vishnu.
According to a legend, Lord Bramha performed a Brahmotsavam prayer for Lord Vishnu. And that's why you will find Shiva, Bramha, and Vishnu at the Suchidram Sthaumalaya Temple, where offerings are given daily.
The festival takes place over a span of nine days and is also termed Brahma's Utsavam or Lord Brahma's festival.
In the year 2023, Brahmotsavam is celebrated twice due to Adhik Maas during September and October.
September Brahmotsavam has come to an end and the celebration for Tirumala Navaratri Brahmotsavams started on October 15, 2023, and concluded on October 23, 2023. (ANI)
