Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Anil Vij is the minister for energy, transport and labour in Haryana's new government.
Anil Vij said that he had gone to extend his greetings after the BJP formed the government in Haryana for the third time under the guidance of PM Modi.
"Under PM Modi's leadership, BJP has formed govt in Haryana for the third time. I had gone to extend my greetings. Narendra Modi ji is the Shakti (Power) of the powerhouse. It is good to meet him. We get his guidance. We discussed the current situation in Haryana," Anil Vij told ANI after meeting with PM Modi.
"We discussed how to take the state forward and discussed the areas of focus. We have to work in every area and we have to work for everyone in the society," Anil Vij added.
The Congress in Haryana could not capitalise on the 10 years of anti-incumbency of the BJP government. The BJP won 48 out of 90 seats in the Haryana assembly, while Congress managed to win 37 seats. Independents won 3 seats, and Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) secured 2 seats.
In October, Nayab Singh Saini took oath as the Chief Minister of Haryana for the second time. (ANI)
