New Delhi (India), Feb 7 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be NDA's PM candidate for the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls, claimed JD(U) leader Pavan Varma.
"In NDA the face for the Prime Ministerial candidate remains that of Narendra Modi. However, Nitish Kumar is a very important person within the NDA and is a leader of great stature with a great deal of acceptability by all the allies in NDA and can help strengthen NDA," said Pavan Varma of JDU.
The statement came in the backdrop of JD (U) leader Prashant Kishor meeting Shiv Sena's Uddhav Thackeray in Mumbai on Tuesday. It was considered as an apparent bid to placate Shiv Sena the disgruntled NDA ally ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls (ANI)
