"MVA cannot mislead people with fake narratives": Union Minister Piyush Goyal confident of Mahayuti's record victory

"They can mislead people with fake narratives just once. This time they cannot mislead people. The people of Maharashtra have understood the fake promises. Sharad Pawar was a Union Minister for 10 years and even he did not do anything for the farmers and Marathas," Piyush Goyal told ANI.

Latur (Maharashtra) [India], November 13 (ANI): Expressing confidence that the Mahayuti alliance will win the Maharashtra Assembly elections, Union Minister Piyush Goyal on Wednesday said Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) cannot "mislead people with fake narratives."
"In the Lok Sabha elections, there was a difference of merely 2 lakh votes between MVA and us. They can mislead people with fake narratives just once. This time they cannot mislead people. The people of Maharashtra have understood the fake promises. Sharad Pawar was a Union Minister for 10 years and even he did not do anything for the farmers and Marathas," Piyush Goyal told ANI.
In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections MVA won 30 of 48 seats, and the Mahayuti won only 17 seats.
Earlier today, Union Home Minister Amit Shah at a rally in the Chalisgaon area of Jalgaon district expressed confidence in the Mahayuti government winning the elections.
"On 23, Aghadi's supra saaf hone wala hai, Mahayuti government will be formed. After the Lok Sabha's election Rahul (Gandhi) was really happy, and during Rajasthan relections they said that they will win, they will win, but when the results came out, then they were deflated. In Haryana, BJP government was formed. In Jharkhand there are elections going on, there too the BJP government will be formed," Shah said.
Campaigning has intensified for the 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra with both the ruling Mahayuti and the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) making efforts to woo the electorate.
The polls are scheduled for November 20 and counting will be held on November 23. (ANI)
